Official visit of scientists of Hiroshima University

Director of the Institute for Peace Science of Hiroshima University Noriyuki KAWANO visited the Scientific Research Institute for Radiation Medicine and Ecology as part of a project to investigate the socio-psychological consequences of the affected population as a result of testing at the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site. The study is conducted from 2002 to the present time by the Institute for Peace Science of Hiroshima University (Japan) in cooperation with the Scientific Research Institute for Radiation Medicine and Ecology (Kazakhstan). During the visit, topical issues of study and further continuation of constructive and fruitful cooperation were discussed, and scientists shared the results of a similar study conducted in Japan.
